2011 Mt. Juliet FFA Banquet

The year has come to a close for Mt. Juliet FFA Officer Team, as we held our annual banquet last night. It was a huge success! Many awards were given, plaques presented, and memories made to last forever. After the annual meal of barbeque sandwiches and strawberry shortcake, our President started the banquet with the introduction of guests and presented the year in review slideshow. All of the team awards were passed out and the specialty awards that were secret shocked the receivers. Scholarships were given to those furthering their education next year in Agriculture. It was a night of memories, especially for our four-year members who were recognized with their graduation cords. Congratulations to all who received awards and a job well done for all of your hard work!

Racing for the finish

Our year is coming to an end rather quickly! The Livestock and Dairy Judging Contest is tomorrow and our teams have worked super hard to prepare for this day. We wish them the best of luck! Our chapter banquet is this coming Thursday, April 14th, and our members putting it on have been working around the clock to make sure everything is ready in time. Members will be receiving their pins and plaques for all the contests they have participated in this past year. We hope it turns out great, especially for our four-year members who will be remembered at the end. The following week is our regional banquet and all those that have won at the regional level will be attending to receive their awards. Mt. Juliet is excited and ready for the next couple weeks ahead of us to recognize our achievements throughout this year!

Greenhouse Plant Sale

Plant Sale!! 

Many plants are still for sale and we are extending our Greenhouse Sale until all is gone. We are there during school hours, 8am-3pm, so please come and support your greenhouse class! Hanging baskets range between $12-$15, depending on the type of plant. Hanging baskets consist of fuchsia, wave petunia, ivy geranium, non-stop begonia, all the way to trailing purslane and so much more.   Flats will start at $12 and can be mixed and matched to your liking. Flats include impatiens, wax begonias, marigold, dianthus, petunia, coleus, periwinkle, etc. Also, tomato plants will be for sale as $1 a piece or a full tray for $16. We are very proud of our hard work. Located at 1800 Curd Road.
